Commision card and going away for a little while

Hi All
This will be a quick post tonight as I am busy busy busy with things in the house and I still have commission cards to finish.  We have decided to go to Cyprus for a week’s break and we leave on Thursday, I know short notice but looking forward to it and the tickets were booked yesterday,  it’s not that I am eager but I do have my suitcase out ready lol.

Brian could do with the rest and we are lucky enough to own a villa there and it's only a 2 1/2 hour flight to get there so Thursday night I will be sat in a tavern having eats and drinks yummy.

Now onto my card which is a commission for a friend, she rang me this morning to see if she could pick it up tomorrow then I remembered I had not even finished it aggggg so much on my mind recently.

I have used a Whiff of Joy Image and coloured it with Copic, for a change I used Lasting Impression paper  and I manage to get the last four pieces of this in the craft shop and have being hanging on to it as I love it.

I inked all the edges with Antique Linen distressing ink, the little butterflies are buttons I got in the UK last year, the bling is Kaban , the flowers W/O and the ribbon is from my stash which I tied in a bow and stuck a button on the top. Sorry it's not a good pic but my daylight bulb has just gone.

I have entered the following challenge

Whiff Of Joy – Bows and Buttons

Die Cut Dreams -  Pink Green Coffee

Cup Cake Craft – Sketch

I shall be holding my little candy with a twist on Wednesday so do pop round to see me as you could win a voucher, more of that on Wednesday.

I shall be round to see you all later after I have got a few things done, I did come round last night to see your creations but on some sites blogger would not let me post, blogger is so fickle sometimes and it drives me nuts lol.

Thanks for popping by to see me I do appreciate it.

Sundays with Chrissy

I have some news I can now tell you, I have been keeping this a secret for far too long, I just don’t know how I did it lol.

Chrissy asked me to be a DT on Sundays with Chrissy and I jumped at the chance I feel so honoured that she asked me, thank you Chrissy.

Now onto the new challenge for August and my first DT card For Sundays With Chrissy

We would love for you to show us your K.I.S.S. cards!! K.I.S.S. standing for "Keep It Simple Stamper"
I know for some of you, including me, keeping it simple is hard challenge as we all like our flowers etc,

I have used one of Crissy's brand new images called Forget Me Not available from Whimsy Stamps now she’s just so beautiful! Don’t you think.

I coloured her with Copic and glitter pens, the papers are Bo Bunny which have been inked with Victorian Velvet distressing ink and layered the papers up, I also used a M/S punch on one of the layers, ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

I do hope you will pop over and take part in the challenge as you may now use images from any company and still be included in the draw for the blog candy prize!
Those who use one of Crissy's images, either from her rubber or digital collections will be entered twice in the draw.

There will be five free digi's given to one lucky person who enters the challenge.

I would like to enter the following challenge.

Spoonful of Sugar - Birthday

Cute Card Thursday - Clean and Simple

Edited to add some news

Whimsy Stamps and Make it Crafty have come together to create a fun Urban Themed digi collection!

Ann Vento has whipped up her magic and designed an incredible collection of
funky wall sayings, city landscapes and of course a range of super cool street signs.

Make it Crafty is trying something new offering all the different elements for you to build your own urban backdrop.

Then of course, what better characters to incorporate into such a scene than the fabulous
Kenny K rubber stamps available from Whimsy Stamps!

There are 2 hops for this occasion

I made a card for this occasion

I used a Kenny K image, Urban Collection Image and Raindrop Echo Design Sentiment and combined them all together  and coloured with copic. The flowers are Prima and W/O and the punch is from EK, bling and ribbon from my stash.

Card and Tag

Hi All

This afternoon I have a card and a tag to show you, the card is a commission one with an image by Bugaboo that she picked herself for her friend and coloured with Copic.

The papers are Bo Bunny and inked all the edges with Victorian Velvet by Tim Holtz and layered them all up.I used an M/S punch for the lace detail and the butterfly which was sprayed with pearl accent and glittered, the flowers, pearls and ribbon are from my stash.

The tag I did a few days ago as I wanted to try my hand at a vintage tag in pink, the base I painted in 3 colours with shimmer paints then painted all the swirls in a gold accent with added glitter.  I sprayed the lace and gold corner with Inkidoodle Raspberry shimmer, got a bit messy at this point lol the picture I found in my stash.

I made the flowers myself and painted in the same way I did the tag, this made them very stiff so I moulded them before they dried and added a bit of bling to the centre, the sentiment I made up myself and printed on the computer.

I do hope you like this as it is my first attempt at a vintage tag.

Challenges I would like to enter are:

Catch The Bug – Anything Goes

Pink Elephant – Butterflies

Papertake Weekly – Made Flowers

Stampalot - Anything Goes -       I am entering my Tag

I would like to say hi to my new followers and thanks, also to my regular followers who pop by to see me all the time, I really appreciate it and thank you for all the comments you leave me.

I shall be having a little candy next week with a twist so keep checking.

Altered Photo Frame

Hi  All
Today I have something different to show you I made a couple of weeks ago, it’s an alter box photo frame, it started out as a plain boring box and my fingers were itching to get it altered.

I painted it white, sanded, painted again, sanded and finally painted it for the last time (this is the boring bit lol) but it seals the paint into the wood this way. I then distress it with pink timmy ink and sealed it into the wood with a heat gun, this makes it bubble which I quiet like but you have to be careful not to burn the wood or your fingers.

I decorated the box with W/O  flowers, I also distressed the big pink flowers with the same ink to blend in, finishing with pearls, ribbon and a charm.

This will fit an 8x8 card inside which can be decorated to the hilt, a scrap book page, min I might add or a picture of a loved one, I have not quiet decided yet but was thinking to give it to my mom with a decorated card inside, just for her.
I also am joining the linking party over at Passionately Artistic with this box, I have to say their creations are amazing and full of inspiration, I know I am going to learn a lot from these crafty gals who have also linked up too.

Candy with a difference and more candy.

Kellie over at Waffle Things Ink has a fun thing going at her place called My favourite things post each month, so for some fun she has decided to add a linky so we can all play along, so pop over and check it out, it’s so fun.

My favourite things this month are

Copic and Pro Markers, love them to bits and they go everywhere with me when I travel, thats why my suitcases weigh so much agggg.

My favourite Martha Stewart punches, these two I use a lot,.

My new snowflake dies, love them so much I want to touch them all the time, I know I am a sad person lol.

That’s all for today oh I did manage to get my Christmas card order filled, phew it was bit of rush as 10 cards in two days, the most I have crafted in a long time, she loved them and they are now on their way to the UK, I will be posting them here soon.

Thanks for popping in to see me I really appreciate your comments and I love to see you.
